SEMH Teacher

Protocol Education are working with a pupil referral unit in the Halifax area who are after a teacher to teach ICT and PE. The students in this school are aged 7 to 18 and have SEMH (social, emotional and mental health) needs. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday from 8.30 to 3.30. This is a temp to perm role with an immediate start.

  • Plan and deliver lessons that are tailored to the needs of each student

  • Quickly build rapport with the students
  • Work in a team with other staff members


  • Good behaviour management
  • Qualified Teacher Status is desired but not essential (will consider unqualified teachers)
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs
  • Be able to handle challenging behaviours and deescalate situations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
