SEMH Teacher – Ashington (Full-Time)

Protocol Education is recruiting a full-time SEMH Teacher to join a specialist educational setting in Ashington. You'll work with pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, delivering engaging lessons that inspire confidence, build resilience and help every learner achieve their full potential.

What you'll be doing

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needs
  • Build positive relationships that encourage trust and engagement
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour strategies
  • Plan around EHCP outcomes and individual learning targets
  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and pastoral teams
  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies
  • Promote confidence, resilience and independence
  • Create a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment

What we're looking for

You'll hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have a genuine passion for supporting young people who need a different approach to learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
