A special needs school in Shropshire for pupils who have social, emotional, mental health and additional needs including pupils on the autistic spectrum require a teaching assistant for level 3 or above.

Under the guidance of the teaching staff, your role will be to implement agreed work / health / care / support programmes with individuals or groups, in and out of the classroom. You will work in the main with a small group of SEMH pupils requiring detailed and specialist support in order for them to fully access the curriculum. Flexibility is important in the role as the teaching assistant will need to work across all areas of the curriculum. This post is specifically to support pupils in their learning and social development, which caters for pupils in Key Stage 2 and also occasionally Y7 whilst in transition to other specialist provision. Their provision is predominantly boys, so an interest in sports and outdoor activities would be a distinct advantage!


Requirements

All applicants are required to provide references for the last two years, have proof of address and a current DBS certificate or are happy to have one undertaken.
