Protocol Education are working with a pupil referral unit in the Halifax area who are after a teaching assistant. The students are aged between 8 and 16. This is an alternative provision academy where the majority of the students have been taken out of mainstream schools, either permanently or at risk of permanent exclusion. This school is passionate about improving the life chances of young people. The class sizes are smaller, about 8 to 11 students. The school works towards developing the student's confidence, resilience and compassion with a love for learning. This school works towards inspiring and motivating the students to reach their full potential.

•Support students with challenging behaviours

For this role, you need to have excellent behaviour management and communication skills. You need to be able to build rapport with the students. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
