SEMH Support Worker – SEMH School – Hornchurch | September Start

We are working with a fantastic SEMH school in Hornchurch that is looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Support Worker to join their supportive team from September.

The school provides a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs. Staff work closely with students to support their emotional regulation, personal development, and engagement with education, helping them overcome barriers and achieve their full potential.

You will be part of a committed team, working alongside teachers, pastoral staff, and specialist professionals to provide consistent support and create a positive learning environment where every pupil feels valued.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural needs
• Be patient, resilient, and able to build positive relationships with pupils
• Have a calm and supportive approach when managing challenging situations
• Be passionate about helping young people develop confidence and independence
• Be able to work effectively as part of a wider school team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
