Job Title: SEMH/SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Bradford, BD4
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: ASAP

Some children need extra patience. Some need structure. Some just need one adult who never gives up on them.

A specialist setting in BD4 is looking for a full-time SEMH/SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team permanently. The school supports pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs and is searching for someone calm, resilient, and genuinely caring.

The role involves:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Helping children regulate emotions and access learning
  • Building positive routines and relationships
  • Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff

You’ll need:

  • Experience working with SEMH or SEN pupils
  • Strong behaviour management
  • Patience, empathy, and consistency
  • A team-player attitude

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
