SEN / SEMH Teaching Assistant – Behaviour Support

Location: BD4
Start Date: September
Contract: Full-time
Pay: £93–£110 per day

Not every day is easy in this role… but every day matters.

We’re looking for a resilient, confident TA to support a pupil with SEMH needs in BD4. This role is for someone who can stay calm when things feel anything but calm, someone who knows behaviour is communication, not just disruption.

The role:

  • 1:1 support with a pupil displaying challenging behaviour

  • Supporting emotional regulation and engagement in learning
  • Working alongside a strong pastoral and SEN team

You’ll need:

  • Experience with SEMH or challenging behaviour
  • Thick skin, a calm voice, and a good sense of humour
  • The ability to reset and go again, even after a tough moment

Why this role stands out:

  • Proper support from SLT who get it
  • Training opportunities in behaviour and SEN
  • A chance to genuinely change a pupil’s school experience

Protocol Education offers:

  • Weekly PAYE pay
  • Free CPD and behaviour training
  • Dedicated consultant support
  • Long-term opportunities in supportive settings
