We are currently recruiting on behalf of a large and vibrant Primary Academy near West Drayton looking to add a new member to their team.

This position is for a full time Specialist SEMH Teaching Assistant to offer pastoral and academic nurture and support to children within the school with a range of complex social, emotional and mental health needs.

This position is Monday-Friday - term time only.

This is a challenging but highly rewarding role where you have a real opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children, who for a variety of reasons are struggling.

We are looking for someone who has the knowledge and understanding to develop positive relationships that nurture confidence and respect. You will have an understanding of the importance of safeguarding and developing safe boundaries.

Ideally you will have experience of working with children or young people in a similar setting, however transferable skills from areas such as youth work, alternative Education settings or those where you have worked with SEMH needs of adults will be welcomed.

You will work under the direction of the Class Teacher and Senior Leaders, to provide outstanding support to students across the school and flexibility, proactive and can-do attitude will be essential.
