Protocol Education are looking to recruit Learning Support Assistants (LSA) with experience of working with pupils with challenging behaviour to work with a range of age groups across our SEND schools in Berkshire.

Previous experience working with children is essential. Must be energetic, enthusiastic and be able to work using your own initiative. Team Teach training is desirable but not essential. The role will be working with children on a 1:1 basis but some group learning may also be required.

To be considered for this role you must have the following:

• A passion for working closely with SEND students to achieve their personal goals and behaviours
• Reference information for the last five years
• UK eligibility to work, an enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to have one undertaken at the cost of £40
• The ability to be flexible and adaptable on a daily basis
Protocol Education are seeking individuals with a desire and passion to support vulnerable children who have experience working with Special Education Needs students. The perfect candidate would ideally have some form of behaviour management training, ideally team teach, manual handling or STEPS training, although this is desired, it is not essential. Most importantly, you must be approachable, enthusiastic and promote positive behaviour management and guidance to aid progression and personal development.

The role:
• Working closely in a 1:1 environment and small groups to support behavioural issues
• Encouraging positive behaviours, detecting areas of intervention and negotiating improvement strategies
• Understanding and commitment to the improvement of students

The ideal candidate may have:
• A psychology or relevant University degree
• Experience working 1-1 with children and in small group capacity
• Experience supporting students with SEND
