We are currently looking for a SEMH Learning Support Assistant to join our team in the Teesside area. We are looking for an individual who has knowledge and understanding of Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) to help support students.

Ideally the right individual for this role will have experience working within the education sector but for the right person transferable skills may be the experience that we need.

We are looking for someone who is adaptable and has availability for Monday-Friday 08.30-16.00, this availability is to ensure we keep continuity for the students we support.

The role is initially temporary but may become permanent for the right person.

Key skills needed:

  • Be able to work 1:1 or within small groups
  • Have the understanding or is willing to learn more about SEMH
  • The ability to communicate effectively
  • Be able to create professional relationships with the students they support
  • Passionate about the role
  • Enthusiastic
  • Motivated
  • Qualification within education would be an advantage

Due to the nature of this role, you will need to undertake a DBS check.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
