Job description
Physics and Maths Teacher required for September 2016

Age range: 11 – 18 (Key Stage 3,4 and 5)

Location: Lambeth

Salary: MPS/ UPS (dependant on experience)

Contract Term: Long Term

Contract Type: Full time

Start Date: Sept 2016

Protocol Education is looking to recruit a Teacher who can teach Physics and Maths for Catholic School with an Ofsted rating of ‘Outstanding’ for student behaviour. The school is looking for someone who can deliver The Physics and Maths curriculum across the key stages in this school.

The focus of teaching is on developing a deeper understanding and educating the whole person. The Science department is proud of its ability to make science engaging, fun and explorative whilst using a hands on approach. The Maths department strives to develop a greater appreciation of the beauty and diversity of math and to allow the students to grow in confidence.

The right candidate for this role will be a confident, highly organised and ambitious teacher who is up for the challenge of helping students achieve their full potential. It is very important that the teacher helps to develop and participate in the school community and maintains the strong parental partnerships that the school has developed.

If successful you will join a small, professional and collaborate teaching staff and be working closely with a inspirational and innovative administration.

If interested in this role you must have the following:

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) or overseas trained

• PGCE in Maths and/or Physics or degree level equivalent

• Experience teaching KS3, 4 and 5

• Experience teaching Maths and Physics

• Experience in a secondary school within the last two years

• Excellent subject knowledge and passion for Maths and Physics

• Enhanced DBS Disclosure or Overseas Police Clearances

• Experience working with ESL students would be an advantage
