Our client in the Lambeth area is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and creative maths teacher to join their outstanding, forward thinking mathematics faculty. This school has a very strong academic reputation that has gone from strength to strength and shows the hard efforts of staff and pupils.
The school is located in a community focused neighbourhood and has excellent transport links, less than 10 minutes from mainline tube station. It has recently undergone renovation and now offers new IT facilities, a larger Library, new cafeteria and a fantastic sports centre including a gym.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified teacher to join an exciting place of work with a great support team. The Mathematics department is a strong faculty that has a great track record of obtaining superb results at GCSE and A Level. You will mainly be teaching Key Stages 3 - 4 and there may be the possibility to teach Key Stage 5 if this is something that interests you.
The ideal candidate will need the following;
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or overseas trained
- PCGE in maths/ B Education/ Overseas trained teacher
- Able to teach Key Stage 3, 4 (pref KS5)
- Able to plan, prepare and deliver engaging and effective lessons that keep pupils engaged in classwork and progressing in their academics
- Be easily approachable and have a positive influence
- Be calm under pressure, able to handle responsibility and deliver engaging and effective lessons that enables all students to reach their full potential
