A popular 11 to 18 secondary school located in North London are currently recruiting for a full-time Humanities Teacher to join their team of staff from September 2020.
With experienced staff within the department, the school can consider specialists in History or Geography.
If you are able to offer a combination of subjects this could also be advantageous, with the potential option to teach up to AS and A Level.

The school is easily accessible by car and public transport with on-site parking available for staff and visitors. There are also two main stations (undergound and overground) located close to the school. The role is for at least a year with the school being able to offer either a permanent/fixed term contract or ongoing supply arrangement.

The school is very well-run and well-organised by an inspirational Headteacher. The team of teaching and support staff are hard-working and supportive with high standards. They are able to offer a broad curriculum enabling them to offer students lots of fantastic opportunities which will help better prepare them for their future career paths. The successful Humanities teacher will be:
Able to confidently teach pupils up to GCSE (in History or Geography) and have a good track record of student progress.
A committed practitioner, who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout their role.
A collaborative and driven individual who will support and lead on the delivery of their lessons through creative approaches to the curriculum.

To be successful in this Humanities teaching role you will:
Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualifications.
Ideally hold an MA or degree in either Geography or History
