Design and Technology Teacher

Protocol Recruitment is recruiting for a Design Technology teacher (DT) that specialises in either Product Design or Resistant Materials to join an excellent school in Lambeth. This full time DT teaching post is available for a September 2016 start and will be contracted through until the end of the academic year. This post has a view to turn permanent for the right candidate with other generous benefits available.
About the school
Secondary Academy rated ‘Good/ Outstanding’ in last two inspections, new building with state of the art facilities; two workshops dedicated to Design Technology teaching and learning, a food kitchen along with a computer aided design and manufacturing suite. Extracurricular activities are offered weekly for all subjects offered within the department. Located a short walk from mainline station, close to local bus routes and an onsite car park for staff
In order to be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:
• Hold a Bachelor of Education / PGCE / or equivalent teaching degree in DT
• Have previous experience teaching product design or resistant materials
• Have recent proven experience teaching in a secondary school environment
• NQT, experienced UK or overseas trained teachers welcome to apply
• Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
• Recent UK classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
• A proven track record of good communication and organisational skills
