Position: Secondary Teacher
Hours: Full-time / Part-time

We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school in Barnsley.

The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging lessons, inspire students to achieve their potential, and create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. You will support students’ academic progress while helping them develop confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning.

The Role:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the relevant curriculum.
• Adapt teaching to meet different abilities and learning needs.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive behaviour.
• Build strong relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
• Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff.

About You:

• QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Previous experience teaching in a secondary school.
• Strong subject knowledge.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Passionate about supporting students and raising achievement.
• Reliable, organised and committed to high-quality teaching.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
