Protocol Education are working with a school in the Leeds area who are looking for teaching assistants to support their learners with a range of additional needs. These additional needs include ASC (autism spectrum condition), complex needs, PMLD (profound and multiple learning disability), and MLD (moderate learning difficulties). The students are aged 6 to 19. This school has 3 types of cohorts:
•Informal: Curriculum is fully personalized and driven by EHCP outcomes and the needs of each individual learner
•Semi-formal: Explorative curriculum which is creative as well as stimulating. Each student individuality is celebrated
•Formal: Pathways for students are personalized which focus on building independence and resilience so students are prepared for a successful future.

•Team Teach Trained- there are some challenging behaviours, so Team Teach is essential
•Support students in their personal and educational development
•Build relationships with students and learn about their interests
•Work well as a team with other support staff and teachers
•Experience working with additional needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
