Secondary Senior Teaching Assistant

Have you ever considered a career in education as a Teacher but would like some school based experience as a teaching assistant before committing to a PGCE or teacher training?
This secondary teaching assistant position is perfect for a graduate keen to earn £300 per week whilst gaining invaluable experience!

***Opportunity for Schools own teacher training from 2018
***Core Subject Graduates for example; Accountancy - Maths
This secondary teaching assistant position is perfect for an ambitious graduate with a passion for a career in education. You must be an ambitious and confident individual with an exceptional academic background with a 2:1 or higher in your core subject degree and good A-level grades (A-C) in relevant subjects. You will ideally have previous experience working with young people, tutoring or coaching and preferably in a educational setting.
The role will involve working with small groups of students who are currently undertaking the GCSEs or transitioning from Primary to Secondary. You will be required to hold booster sessions for a range of students, from those on the C/D borderline who need extra support to achieve a C grade to those which are gifted and talented and striving for the top grades. You will be required to find innovative ways to all students to reach their full potential and support qualified teachers with the delivery and planning of lessons. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills with a view to become a senior TA or cover supervisor.
You will be joining a school which has an excellent track record of working with graduates as members of their support staff. The school is located close to the centre of Doncaster and is easily accessible via road and rail. The school runs an excellent training and development programme and has seen many of its graduates be accepted onto either their schools direct programme or a PGCE.
