Job description
We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and skilled Teacher to join our highly committed special post 19 team and teach across a range of abilities, ages and subjects. It is preferable that applicants have previous experience working within a SEN environment.

The school is based in Hartlepool and are looking for a Secondary Teacher to join their team in January, this position will be on going, long term and full time!

They are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, caring and confident, someone who can bring these characteristics to the classroom. They are also looking for someone who is able to adjust, responding to the needs of the pupils, a Teacher who enjoys the challenge of working within a SEN setting. As a Teacher you will be required to have a good understanding of the national curriculum, as well as strong behaviour and classroom management. The class has pupils with social and emotional needs, with behaviour difficulties, because of this the school desire a teacher who is confident with de-escalation. You will be required to write schemes of work, plan lessons and also be responsible for marking.

To apply for the role you need to be/have:
• UK QTS Primary or Secondary Trained
• good subject knowledge and a passion for teaching
• able to creatively plan and prepare engaging lessons
• hardworking and ambitious
• strong behaviour management
• experience working in Pupil Referral Units (desired not essential)
