SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHING ASSISTANT NEEDED!

I am working with an Ofsted approved ‘OUTSTANDING’ school in The London Borough of Bromley. It is a secondary school for students aged between 11 and 19 years that have Special Educational Needs such as Autism, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties, ADHD and Speech and Language Difficulties. This school believes in promoting independence and helping the students achieve and succeed when dealing with obstacles to their learning. We are looking for a Secondary School Teaching Assistant to join this lovely school!

The successful candidate should:

  • Have a good academic background with some experience/knowledge of working with children that have Special Educational Needs
  • Have experience or a good understanding of working within a Secondary School setting
  • Hold an up-to-date DBS or be willing to apply for one
  • Hold a safeguarding qualification or be willing to complete a safeguarding course

The Role:

  • You will be required to work alongside and support the classroom teachers and other teaching assistants with everyday activities and lessons.
  • You will be required to support students with their academic learning and their own individual needs.
  • To work in small groups and adapt lessons/activities to suit the ability of the child/children that you are working with

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
