A welcoming secondary school in Gateshead is looking for a passionate Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join their team. This is your opportunity to make RE exciting, relevant, and thought-provoking for students across KS3 and KS4.

The Role

As an RE Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging lessons that encourage students to explore religion, philosophy, ethics, and morality.
• Promote discussion, critical thinking, and respectful debate in the classroom.
• Support students in understanding diverse worldviews and cultural perspectives.
• Develop engaging learning experiences that challenge students and foster curiosity.
• Contribute to school initiatives that encourage understanding, tolerance, and inclusion.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a teacher who:

• Holds QTS (or equivalent) and has experience teaching RE at secondary level.
• Brings enthusiasm, strong subject knowledge, and excellent classroom management.
• Can inspire students to explore complex ideas in an engaging, accessible way.
• Has high expectations for learning and behaviour, and a passion for student development.
