Job description
Secondary/Post 16 Mentors needed

Protocol are looking for experience support staff to join a new school that only opened in 2018 are currently in the process of expanding and developing. Every year the school introduce a new year group and have a 3 year plan to at full capacity and full staffed school. As the school has recently opened they are still looking for members of staff that can come in and be the foundation of the school, they offer great progression opportunities as they would hope to provide training and experience to staff with the aim to promote them to senior positions within the school. The school itself is for students that are currently not in mainstream education due to the various different needs they may have including high functioning autism, aspergers, ADHD and pathological demand avoidance. The ideal candidate would have previous experience working with students with special needs either in a mainstream school or a SEND school, they must also have the desire and the ambition to be part of the long term vision of the school and are keen to progress.

• Supporting students 1:1 with core subjects
• Assessing pupils levels and ability
• Differentiating work based on students needs and abilities
• Preparing, planning and marking work
• Behaviour management
• Ensuring the schools ethos and policies are being implemented
• Liaising with parents and carers

As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00
