Job description
***Secondary Maths Teacher Required***

An enthusiastic and passionate Maths Teacher is required for an excellent Secondary School based in Barnsley. The successful candidate will have the required subject knowledge and passion to teach Maths at Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4 Level and ideally Key Stage 5. The ability to teach A-Level Maths will be a distinct advantage.

The ideal teacher will have a skilled approach to teaching engaging lessons linked into a creative curriculum plan with an understanding of the attainment levels involved stretching pupils into higher attainment challenges. The Head teacher and Senior Leaders are strong and well-established, looking to invite a new, passionate and motivated individual in to their team. This post is ideally full time, however the school are happy to consider part time applicants.

Teacher requirements:

Qualified Teaching Status (QTS)

Post Graduate Degree in Education (PGCE) or equivalent to UK standard

Have experience at teaching Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and ideally Key Stage 5

Have enthusiasm and a depth of knowledge in the subject area.

The successful candidate will be a consistently good or outstanding practitioner. You will be committed to raising the achievement of all learners by ensuring that teaching across the faculty is of the highest quality and is innovative, engaging and enjoyable. The department has a strong reputation, founded on innovative practice and a curriculum that engages and challenges students.
