Job description
Behavioural Support Assistant wanted for after Easter for a fantastic Secondary School in Brent

The highly achieving secondary school are looking to meet suitable candidates for interview ASAP!

You will be expected to work one to one with a pupil who has been diagnosed with Autism on a one to one basis. The pupil you will be working with has additional needs and require extra support with their education. Having a sport background is desirable as the pupil will relate to you.

The role will be highly focused around the safety and welfare of the pupil as well as making sure classwork is completed.

You will need to:
• Ensure the safety and welfare of the pupil at all times
• Have good classroom management skills
• Be assertive as well as caring and confident (to resolve behavioural/relationship issues between the pupil and other students)
• Be able to liaise with pupil and parents/carers in a sensitive manner when recognising the additional support needed
• Encourage, engage and inspire the pupil to be the best that they can be
• Work within a multi-cultural environment and assists pupils from diverse backgrounds and abilities

The school has parking available on site and has also good transport links
