We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a Secondary School based in Ilford to work on a full time basis supporting students across Year 7, 8 & 9.

The successful Teaching assistant will be required to work in lessons, and with individuals or small groups of students outside of lessons, supporting their learning. The successful candidates will work with students with a broad range of special educational needs including: ASD, ADHD, SLCN and those who require support with numeracy and literacy. There may be an opportunity to specialise in specific areas for candidates with relevant experience and qualifications. We also have some one-to-one roles available, working specifically with individuals who have more complex needs.

Applicants must have a grade 5+ / C grade in GCSE English and Maths or equivalent. The positions would be well suited to those who have experience working with young people with and without additional needs or graduates who wish to gain school experience before going on to a teacher training course.

We are looking for enthusiastic and effective people with an ability to adapt and cope with change to complement our dynamic team. Applicants require good positive behaviour management skills, the ability to remain calm, excellent literacy and an attention to detail. Experience of working with young people would be an advantage.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
