We have strong, trusting relationships with our schools across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, with many of our cover supervisors and teaching assistant accepting long term roles or going on to teacher training.
As a Cover Supervisor / Teaching Asisstant you would go into our partnership schools and oversee lessons a teacher has already planned and resourced. Your role would be to ensure the students are on task and engaged. You could cover a range of different subjects when needed and so an in-depth knowledge of a particular subject is not necessary, although english is advantageous in this case.
You should really have the willing to encourage the students and help them within lessons, you will be interested in the education system and a secondary school environment. You will be a professional individual able to communicate exceptionally well with both staff and students. You will be a trusting and honest individual with great organisational and time management skills.
You must have:
• Strong behaviour management
• Interest in the current educational system
• Aspiration to inspire our next generation
• A great classroom presence
• Excellent communication skills
• Great organisational skills
- Experience teaching English is preferable but not essential
You will also need to have a current DBS check on the update system or be willing to complete one.
