Job description
A Leicestershire based secondary school has an opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant to join the school and support their KS3/KS4 pupils with learning and development. The school is an 11-16 school that provides learning to c900 pupils.

As a Learning Support Assistant in this secondary school you will be supporting pupils with their learning in a variety of classes and helping them make progress in attainment. You will be working within a broad variety of classes across the school. You will work with individuals and small groups to ensure that they on kept on task and making good progress in lessons. You will assist pupils with any questions and get involved in providing feedback to the class teacher. There will be plenty of opportunity for you to be involved in the school pastoral system ensuring that the welfare of pupils is being monitored.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate previous learning support experience in secondary schools and have achieved well academically. You will be an engaging LSA and be able to build rapport with pupils and overcome any boundaries to learning. Whilst this is a secondary mainstream school you may be asked to provide additional support to learners with additional needs.

This job will commence as soon as possible and is expected to last until Easter 2018. You will be rewarded with competitive rates of pay and opportunity for CPD training.
