Job description
Are you a University Graduate with a degree within a Science or being heavily Science based looking to gain TA experience this year to support your teacher training application for the next or future academic years?

We are currently working with a Secondary School within Birmingham who is looking to appoint a University Graduate to support within their Science Department.

If you are planning on a career as a Secondary Teacher and want to gain paid work within a school in a support role this year, gaining experience that will support your teacher training application this could be the post for you!

Protocol Education are currently working with a Secondary School within Birmingham located to the North of the City Centre who are looking to appoint a University Graduate with the capability of supporting their GCSE and A-Level pupils within the Sciences. The role is offered on a full time 5 days a week basis and will offer you the opportunity to gain paid work within a school this year supporting your application for teacher training this year or for the future.

The role will see the successful applicant taking on a supporting role within this Secondary School. Duties can vary from day to day, working with a variety of different year groups and ability levels. You could be doing general classroom support, working with small groups both within and outside the classroom. You could be working with students who have been identified as requiring intervention, supporting them in achieving their target grades, with the gifted and talented or when working with GCSE or A-Level pupils often with those on key grade borderlines. You will also be required to cover for Teachers when they are away on courses or off sick, delivering pre-planned lessons to pupils.

You will be required to work the full school day, starting no later than 8.30 and finishing around 4.00 unless you are supporting extra curricular activities after school.
