I am working with this Secondary school based in Southwark to recruit a GCSE and A-Level teacher of History for a job starting April 2017 (possibly sooner). The role will be full time permanent job.
In this job you will get the opportunity to teach KS3, KS4 GCSE option classes and A-Level History. You will teach students that are engaged and enthusiastic about the subject and work in a department with other Humanities teachers considered to be one of the strongest departments in the school.
Located in Southwark, close to local bus links and a mainline station (both tube and overground) this school has built its reputation on hard work, excellent attendance and good behaviour and now require a passionate History teacher to help further there success which has been achieved and promoted through effective teaching, engaging lessons in a stimulating work environment. All classes are equipped with new technology to support innovative and engaging teaching methodology.
In this teaching job you will need:
• The ability to teach History at KS3, KS4 (GCSE) and possibly KS5 (A-Level)
• A Willingness to enthuse and embrace enthusiastic students
• The ability to stretch and challenge academic students
• The experience to manage challenging behaviour
• The knowledge of current and innovative learning methodologies
