Job description
Graduates required to support all subjects in Brent!

Are you graduating this summer or have you graduated in the last few years? Are you thinking of a career in teaching but would like to get some school-based experience first?

Protocol Education is a multiple award-winning specialist provider of classroom-based staff to schools and academies in England. We provide our 4,000 clients with the full range of classroom and non-classroom staff on both a temporary and permanent basis.
We are currently working with a dynamic, diverse and rapidly growing secondary school in the borough of Brent. We are looking to recruit graduate level teaching assistants in time for the new academic year in September 2017.

Our client requires from you the following skills and attributes:
·2:2 degree or higher in English, Maths or a Science-based subject
·2:1 degree or higher in any other subject
·A genuine interest in entering the teaching profession in the future
·A positive and proactive personality!

If you already have experience of working with young people that would be a bonus, however if you have no experience as yet, the school will still consider your application.

This role will provide you with the following:
·An exceptional opportunity to get yourself on the road towards becoming an excellent education professional
·An opportunity to earn while you learn: you will receive a weekly pay rate of £300-350 (negotiable depending on experience)
·The chance to shadow and learn from teachers who teach your specialist subject; you will even be welcome to take on some lessons for yourself once you've worked up the confidence!
·The opportunity to work in a fun, friendly and supportive team.
·The chance to support students aged 11-18 in their studies: in 1:1 situations, small groups and full lessons.

The school has advertised this role as they want to attract the brightest and best graduates from around London. It is their intention that candidates who perform well in this role will then have the opportunity to stay at the school the year after and complete the Schools Direct teacher training program with them.

To follow up on this unique opportunity please reply with your CV and covering letter to me, alex.colbear@protocol-education.com or apply for this role directly.

My client is looking to interview as soon as possible so please apply today!

***Please Note; We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.***
