Job description
Geography Teacher - Part Time - Maternity Cover

Protocol Education are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated, well qualified Teacher of Geography to teach in a successful, well organised and resourced Humanities department, alongside a team of committed, specialist staff.

The school views humanities as a core subject, essential for and taken by all students. Students choose to specialise in either geography or history at the end of year 8 and start their GCSE study in year 9.

Subjects included in the humanities faculty are geography, history and RE. Geography is a popular A Level subject and the post would involve the teaching of Geography at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5. Ability to teach another Humanities subject would be an advantage.

The individual best suited to this post will have the skills to help support, develop and implement ideas within an already successful team. With the changing climate in education, it is vital that the successful candidate be someone who is willing to work collaboratively and enthusiastically as well as demonstrating initiative. This is a school which serves the local community, located in the centre of a strong community, the students are friendly, respectful, generally well behaved and keen to learn.

If you are interested in finding out more about this position then please apply accordingly. Protocol Education will look forward to receiving your interest.

Protocol Education brings schools and staff together. We find jobs for teachers and teaching assistants in schools throughout England, and we can help you find the classroom role that's right for you.

Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
