SEND LSA needed to join an AMAZING Team in a North London School - Haringey

WHAT IS AN LSA/TA?
A Learning Support Assistant (LSA), often referred to as a Teaching Assistant (TA), is provided to support teachers and pupils in the classroom. LSAs/TAs work with all students, not only those with SEN. LSAs/TAs that work with students with SEN help those students individually to meet the targets set in their Individual Education Plan.

WHAT DOES AN LSA/TA DO?
The duties of an LSA/TA working with children with SEN are varied daepending on the child's SEN and the type of school that they are working in, to help them with their literacy and numeracy, as well as other tasks. Generally, they will give the child any extra support they require to complete tasks.

LSAs can work 1:1 with a student or with a small group of students. In secondary schools, there is sometimes also a separate learning support department where LSAs/TAs can work with individuals or small groups away from the classroom on work that complements the work being done in the classroom.
