Job description
Secondary Drama Teacher

I am recruiting for a Drama Teacher for a secondary school located in the Derby area. The ideal candidate will be professional, flexible and adaptable with the opportunity to work in a demanding and rewarding school.

This role will be on a 2 weeks time table totalling 3 days per fortnight and the an ideal role for someone who has qualifications in any of the following areas;
  • Drama
  • Dance & Drama
  • Performing Arts
  • Theatre
  • Acting

Our client school is looking for Teachers who are:
• passionate for teaching with the ability to deliver planned lessons to the highest quality
• compassionate and respectful towards staff and students alike
• able to demonstrate a commitment to education and the development of all students
• able to create dynamic and inspiring teaching methods to ensure the progression of all students in your care
• are able to demonstrate the ability to manage classroom behaviour to a good standard, keeping the students on task, keeping disruption to a minimum.

To apply for this role, you must:

Be currently completing your teaching qualification or have recent experience teaching in a secondary or college environment. Have QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or be working towards it, or another relevant teaching qualification, this does NOT mean the successful candidate will have to be QTS trained but may mean they come from a college education setting with QTLS.
