Job description
Are you looking for an opportunity to start a career in teaching?

The role of the Cover Supervisor demands flexibility and initiative. Your focus will be on supporting progress by providing classroom supervision for students whose regular teacher is absent. You will be expected to deliver pre-planned learning activities and establish productive working relationships with students in a stimulating and orderly learning environment.

Experience of supervising young people within a similar setting is essential, as is the ability to safely manage classroom activities.

So what's in it for you?

• Flexible work both part time and full time

• Competitive daily pay rates

• Guaranteed work schemes

• Regular work within local secondary schools

• Free of charge training courses (SEN, Cover Supervisor, behaviour management, safeguarding)

• Dedicated consultants committed to supporting your career ventures

The role entails delivering set work in line with school policies and supervising the classes. If you have a passion for educating, are innovative and committed to raising standards within schools then you could be the ideal person to become a Cover Supervisor.

The role will involve covering any and all areas of the national curriculum; therefore the right candidate will be someone who has a flexible approach to deal with the varying classroom environments within different departments.

Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
