Job description
Cover Supervisors required in the borough of Barking & Dagenham

Protocol Education's Secondary division are recruiting for talented Cover Supervisors. There is currently a high demand amongst our client schools in East London area, and we need your help!

Responsibilities
You will be expected to supervise the classroom in absence of the teacher and provide instruction to the pupils as directed by the school. You will maintain good order, keep students on task and foster positive relationships with students as a professional role model. You will be expected to take the register, distribute the work that has been pre-set, and ensure all students are well behaved and on task.
This role would be beneficial to aspiring teachers or graduates who would like to gain experience in education prior to applying to the GTP / PGCE route.

Person Specification

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Positive attitude
• A desire to work with and a commitment to the safeguarding of children
• Confidence, imagination, drive and enthusiasm
• A capacity for hard work and the ability to manage its pressures
• Good observational skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Hold DBS registered on the update service or be willing to apply for one
