Are you looking for flexible work in Sunderland? Have you got experience of working with children? Are you an experienced cover supervisor or do you think you will have the personality and skill set to become one?
Protocol Education are recruiting for cover supervisors to work in schools in Sunderland. A cover supervisor's main job is to manage a classroom, ensuring that students remain on task with the work they have been set. You could be covering a range of lessons across the curriculum.
It is important to note that you don't have to hold a recognised teaching qualification or have a subject specialism to work as a cover supervisor. The key to success in the role is to be able to build a rapport with children and manage large groups. We will consider candidates from a range of backgrounds including youth work, drama and dance teaching and sports coaching.
A job as a cover supervisor is ideal for graduates interested in training to become a teacher. The first-hand classroom experience is a fantastic addition to any PGCE or SCITT application. Candidates from a drama and performing arts backgrounds have also found success in this area.
Work will be available on Monday - Friday, from 2-5 days a week (between the hours of 8.30-3.30) during term time. You will have the flexibility to choose which days you would like us to find you work.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
