About the School:

• The staff numbers are relatively small in comparison to larger schools in the area, however, they do have small ratios of pupils to teachers. The school aim to look after it's staff providing 121 personal development and has a high focus on well-being. The school has a strong ethos and they provide substantial opportunities to develop within the trust.
• The school has a large amount of funding towards Pupil Premium and supports a large percentage of their school population, identified as disadvantaged students who are at risk of potentially not achieving their potential. The school has a large proportion of students from EAL backgrounds and pupils who have been eligible for free school meals at any time during the past 6 years. The school however, has various strategies and supports in place in order to support staff and students in this category.

About the role:
As a dedicated Cover Supervisor, we aim to:
• Link you with suitable roles working across Secondary Schools Key Stage 3 to 5
• Work within your parameters
• Be transparent with you in expectations about availability and details of any assignment
• Support you with providing opportunities to CPD (such as Safeguarding courses)
• Maintain contact and making sure that you are supported fully to reach your potential

About you:
• Demonstrate strong behaviour management techniques. Able to promote behaviour for learning.
• Qualifications and coaching badges are advantageous for this role. Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or candidates wanting to pursue a teaching career would be looked upon favourably.
• Steady career or study history with ability to supply a minimum of 2 recent references covering the last 3 years.
• Experience working closely with students is desirable, such as sporting coaches or existing teacher assistant work.
• Highly organized and good communication is a must. Must be able to work collaboratively and take direction from other staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
