Graduate cover supervisor required
Protocol Education are working on behalf of a Sunderland school to recruit a graduate cover supervisor to join their support team. As a cover supervisor you will carry out pre-prepared lessons when teaching staff are on short-term absence.
The cover supervisor's main job is to manage a classroom, ensuring that students remain on task with the work they have been set. The school You could be covering a range of lessons across the curriculum. It is important to note that you don't have to hold a recognised teaching qualification or have a subject specialism to work as a cover supervisor. The key to success in the role is to be able to build a rapport with children and manage large groups.
A job as a cover supervisor is ideal for graduates interested in training to become a teacher. The first-hand classroom experience is a fantastic addition to any PGCE or SCITT application. Candidates from a drama and performing arts backgrounds have also found success in this area.

All cover supervisor candidates will be giving access to free training, including safeguarding and classroom management. ·Work will be available during term time, Monday- Friday. Candidates with part time availability of up to 3 days will also be considered. Graduates from all disciplines will be considered for this role. Previous childcare experience is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
