Job description
Behaviour & Inclusion Support Worker - Wakefield - Immediate Start

We are currently looking for a Behaviour Support Worker to work in specialist SEMH School in the Wakefield area. This school provides an education for students who can't go to a mainstream school, because of exclusion, illness or other reasons and would not otherwise receive suitable education. The particular groups you are working with will be either Primary or KS3 and KS4 children that are in transition to this new environments.

You will ideally hold a Team Teach certification or be prepared to train for one and have a passion for working with young people aged 8-19. The work can be very rewarding; however it can also be challenging too, so you need to be resilient, clam, composed and have the ability to manage ocasionally some very challenging behaviours in the school. Some students have difficult home lives, present with complex communication needs, learning difficulties or are autistic. The key to success in this setting is; be willing to get involved, work on occasions independently, pro-active and can from positive relationships.
