Behaviour Support Roles within mainstream schools

Recently there has been an increase in demand for additional support workers in mainstream Secondary schools in Leeds.

Students who present challenging behaviour often cause disruption in lessons which can have an effect on the learning of other pupils. However, with additional support on a 1-1 basis these students are able to break down their barriers to learning and over come other factors that may be instrumental in their behaviour.

We are seeking individuals who are interested in working as a Behaviour Mentor' or Inclusion Support Worker' to support these students who are at potential risk of exclusion.

The qualities & skills of a behaviour support worker;

•Confident, strong presence within the classroom
•Professional yet personable approach
•Calm and nurturing nature
•Positive role model with a good outlook to education
•Good Listening and communication skills

We have a variety of schools who are recruiting for these roles, on a full-time basis, on both a short- or longer-term contract.
