Protocol Education are working in partnership with a Newcastle school to recruit a Science Technician.
This is a full time role to begin immediately. The successful Science Technician is likely to be required until July 2025.
The successful Science Technician will work closely with the science department, under the direction of the Head of Science. They will support the team in the setting up and dismantling of equipment and practical lessons, ordering stocks and supplies and maintaining our databases.
This is an ideal opportunity either for candidates with previous experience working as a laboratory technician either in a school or other setting, or those who with related qualifications such as a recent Science Graduate with lab based experience. .
A knowledge of health and safety legislation including COSHH and regulations in relation to the safe handling and storage of chemicals and usage of hazardous equipment is desirable although formal qualifications in this area are not necessary. There will be training available.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
