Job description
This school is a small specialist setting for students with severe social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

They create a very nurturing environment and place positive relationships with pupils, their parents/carers and with other agencies at the heart of all they do. Their students have multiple needs and need to address these if they are to be able to access learning. At any one time up to half the students may be looked after and living with foster carers or in a residential home in the area.The students are taught in groups of no more than 4 which allows the school to ensure everything is personalised and tailored to their individual needs. They are proud of the many successes academic and social which their students achieve.

The Science teacher must:

- Hold QTS

- Have worked in an EBD or behaviour needs special school

- Be a team player

- Have the ability to teach a second subject (desirable)

- Have good behaviour management experience

Good behaviour management is a must as well as being confident in planning and delivering Science lessons to KS3/4.
