You know that moment when a lesson just clicks…
The room goes quiet, hands shoot up, and suddenly science feels exciting again.

That’s what this school is all about.

We’re working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Doncaster looking for a Science Teacher who can bring energy, clarity, and a bit of spark to the classroom. Whether your specialism is Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, they’re open, they just want someone who knows how to engage young minds and make learning stick.

What the role looks like

You’ll be teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, with the chance to lean into your specialism as you go.

  • Delivering engaging, well-structured Science lessons
  • Breaking down tricky concepts into something students actually get
  • Creating a classroom where curiosity is encouraged, not shut down
  • Assessing progress and supporting students to improve
  • Working with a supportive department that shares ideas and resources

No reinventing the wheel here, the team plan together, support each other, and actually share the workload.

What makes this school stand out

Let’s be honest, not all schools feel the same.

This one offers:

  • A supportive SLT who trust their teachers
  • Well-behaved students who want to learn
  • A collaborative Science department (no lone wolves here)
  • Strong focus on staff wellbeing, not just lip service
  • Clear routines and expectations that make your day smoother

It’s the kind of place where you can focus on teaching, not firefighting.

What we’re looking for

You don’t need to be perfect, just someone who cares about doing the job well.

  • UK QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
  • Strong classroom presence and behaviour management
  • Ability to build rapport quickly with students
  • Passion for your subject, and it shows

ECTs are welcome, especially if you’re looking for a school that will actually support you properly.

Why this role could be a great move

Whether you’re ready for a fresh start or just want a school that “gets it”, this role gives you:

  • A stable, long-term position
  • A team that supports, not judges
  • Space to teach your subject your way
  • Opportunity to grow, take on responsibility, or just enjoy teaching again

What you’ll get with Protocol Education

We keep things simple and supportive:

  • Weekly PAYE pay, no umbrella companies
  • Free access to our CPD Academy
  • A dedicated consultant who actually picks up the phone
  • Roles that match your preferences, not just what’s available
  • Honest advice and ongoing support

Thrive training? Let’s talk about it

Schools are increasingly looking for teachers who understand behaviour as well as content.

If you’re already Thrive trained, great, you’ll stand out straight away.

If not, we’ve got you covered with FREE Thrive training. It helps you build stronger relationships, manage behaviour confidently, and create a calmer classroom. It’s one of those things that makes teaching feel easier, not harder.
