Protocol Education are working with a secondary school who are seeking to appoint a Science Teacher to join their department.

Science is a very popular subject, as well as theoretical learning students participate in practical exercises making learning fun and engaging.

As a Science Teacher you must be passionate and enthusiastic with the capability of delivering high-quality lessons that motivates learning in and outside of the classroom.

The successful candidate will teach Science up to Key stage 5, delivering high quality creative lessons and pursing the excellence of each student.

Scoring Good in their latest Ofsted report this establishment has a strong behaviour system ensuring the welfare of staff and students are well looked after.

 

Science Teacher Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good level of ICT skills
  • The ability to build good working relationships with children, teachers, parents and carers
  • The ability to promote positive behaviour in a nurturing environment
  • The ability to monitor and review through self-evaluation, report writing and a clear system of record keeping

 

Science Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and teach well-structured, differentiated lessons that are aligned with the National Curriculum
  • Manage behaviour effectively to create a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment so that students can focus on learning
  • Participate actively throughout the network, by attending relevant meetings, and, as appropriate, delivering network-wide training and initiatives
  • Work with colleagues, students, and families to develop a strong school community 
  • Participate in and/or create extra-curricular and interdisciplinary activities and trips

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
