Cover Supervisor Jobs Immediate starts available in Folkestone, East Kent!

Are you looking to move into a teaching career or do you simply love working with children?

If you have experience working with secondary age children and you want to take that experience into a secondary school then a cover supervisor role may be the right job for you! You could be a youth worker, a higher level teaching assistant, a sports coach or an FE or overseas trained teacher looking for a new challenge.

I am working with schools in Folkestone, East Kent to recruit a number of roles. Applicants looking for permanent, contract or temporary roles will be considered as will candidates looking for the flexibility of daily supply work.

The main hours are as follows:
9-3.15 - Average pay would be £70pd
9-5 Average pay for the day £100pd

A cover supervisor is a classroom based role supporting a qualified teacher or covering for a qualified teacher in their absence. You will not need any subject specialism although if you have it will be a benefit. You will offer support across all areas of the curriculum and with age groups from year 7 to year 13. You will deliver pre-planned lesson material and supervise behaviour during class whilst ensuring that a safe and inclusive learning environment is maintained. You will not be expected to plan, prepare, mark or assess work. For those candidates with a passion for working with children but without the qualifications this can be an ideal role.

The successful candidate could be a current cover supervisor, a HLTA, a sports coach, learning mentor, pastoral support worker or someone with equivalent experience supporting groups of secondary age students.

In order to succeed in this role you will be able to demonstrate:

Ability to work with groups of students of secondary age
Strong behaviour management
Ability to follow policies including behaviour management and rewards
Flexibility in approach to classroom delivery and learning material
Willingness to embrace new technologies in the classroom

We taking clearing very serious:
We will require 2 professional references
Passport - EU or UK for proof of eligibility to work in the UK
UK Driving Licence or Provisional
National Insurance details
2 proofs of address less than 3 months old.
