Job description
We are currently recruiting for an experienced School Caretaker for a Junior School in the London Borough of Barnet

We are seeking someone who has previous experience in school care taking or estates management.

Your responsibilities will include:
• The care and upkeep of all buildings and their grounds, including all gardens, sheds and outbuildings.
• Minor repairs, as well as liaising with the Head Teacher and Senior Management when more specialist repairs are required.
• Ensuring Risk Assessments are up to date and followed at all times.
• Working alongside the Cleaner/Housekeeper to ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in the school at all times.
• Having good knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and requirements, including Fire Safety.
• Undergoing regular Health and Safety training, and reviewing this on an annual basis.
• Ensuring that the buildings are secure at all times.
• Key-holder responsibility.
• Flexible hours, working both indoors and outdoors.
• Adhering to Safeguarding procedures at all times.
• Managing a budget.
• Organising/prioritising tasks to ensure the safety of all staff and children is maintained at all times.
• Required to undergo DBS check and two references.
