Protocol Education are currently recruiting for a school administrator with various responsibilities to work in a Bristol Primary School on a long term basis. The school is rated outstanding by Oftsed and consists of a large, friendly staff team. The role would begin ASAP and continue on an ongoing basis.

The primary duties would be to act as "Resources and Health and Safety Assistant".

Due to the ever changing nature of the school it has been decided to appoint a resources and health and safety assistant. Ideally looking at 8am-2pm but can be flexible -30 hours a week. This is a new role so is a fantastic opportunity for someone to make this their own. The successful candidate will be based in the school office and is being line managed by the Systems and Services Manager. The successful candidate will be liaising across the school.

Office tasks: -
1.Answering the telephone
2.Photocopying and filing
3.Administering first aid
4.Dealing with deliveries of resources and supplies
5.Dealing with enquiries from staff and visitors as and when is required
6.Liaison with the Systems and Services Manager as and when is required

Resources: -
1.Stock control of the resources rooms
2.Asset management of resources
3.Dealing with resource requests from staff
4.Benchmarking
5.Stock acquisition
6.Planning of resources with the Systems and Services Manager
7.Liaison with lead teachers about future projects requiring resources
8.Sourcing products as and when required

Health and Safety: -
1.Collating bi termly inspection reports
2.Writing of COSHH risk assessments
3.Control of the premises log book
4.Chasing up suppliers and contractors
5.Risk management as and when required
6.Willingness to learn about health and safety legislation

Skills: -
1.Ability to work on their own initiative
2.A team player
3.Computer literate
4.Have a can do attitude'
5.Good sense of humour

Knowledge: -
1.Understanding of a school environment desirable not essential
2.Multi task and think on their feet
3.Understand the importance of confidentiality
