Room Leader Wanted

We’re looking for a warm, confident and enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader to join a welcoming nursery in Loughton on a permanent basis who loves to inspire little minds while bringing out the best in your team?

You’ll lead a room filled with big imaginations, exciting discoveries and plenty of laughter. From supporting children’s first friendships to helping your team create magical learning experiences, you’ll play a key role in making every day special.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading, motivating and supporting your room team

• Creating engaging learning experiences through play

• Ensuring every child feels happy, safe and valued

• Planning activities and monitoring children’s progress in line with the EYFS

• Building trusted relationships with parents and carers

• Supporting key-person responsibilities and daily care routines

• Maintaining excellent safeguarding, hygiene and safety standards

• Helping your room—and the people within it—thrive

What you’ll need:

• A recognised Level 3 Early Years qualification or above

• Previous experience in a senior nursery or Room Leader position

• Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements

• A confident, caring and positive leadership style

• The right to work in the UK

• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
