Job description
Room Leader Needed

We are currently recruiting for a Room Leader to work in a small nursery in Hounslow.

The role will involve working alongside the designated Manager and Deputy Manager to ensure the smooth running of the nursery day to day. You must be fully Qualified with at least a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or the equivalent.

As part of your role you will be expected to hold key responsibility in the absence of a manager. You will help to ensure the Implementation of the EYFS curriculum as well as the supervision of the planning and preparation of activities to develop all aspects of children’s individual learning. You will ensuring that all developmental records and observations are kept up to date and will be liaising with Parents regarding their children’s development & leading early years practitioners in your team.

Positive management of children’s behaviour and maintaining staff ratios and deploying staff effectively to carry out the correct preparation of nappy changes, laundry duties and supervision of snacks/meals etc is essential.

You will also be helping to supervise children on outings, trips and functions as well as supervising Early Years Practitioners, students, volunteers and visitors to the Nursery and providing feedback and concerns regarding safeguarding issues to the Deputy and Nursery Manager and contribute to staff meetings and planning sessions.
