Do you have experience working as a care or support worker? Would you like to work in a rewarding role in the education sector? At Protocol, we are looking for an enthusiastic, nurturing and committed carer to help support autistic children beyond school hours in the residential area on the school site. The school is based in Radlett and will require the ideal candidate to drive.

You should have some UK child-based care working experience and have previously had worked with children with special needs. You will need to support the child through after school activities, dinner time and bedtime and be committed to work on a rota basis.

You will be making a huge difference to every single child's life and will feel a sense of achievement every single day. You will have to work during some school holidays and be flexible to work a range of different hours with the earliest being 7am and latest 10.30pm.

About the role:
-Immediate start with flexible hours.
-Working on a 4-week rota basis.
-Based in the Radlett area.
-Working on a long-term basis.
-Pay: £12 per hour.

Specific duties:
-Help SEN pupils to achieve their full potential and build their confidence.
-Provide high level of care and support to each child.
-Liaising with parents and carers regularly.
-Organise events and activities to keep children engaged.
-Be prepared to work during school holidays

-Must be confident to support young people in developing their skills.
-Be able to drive due to location of school.
-Experience in mentoring, teaching, carer for those who have challenging behaviour or complex learning difficulties.
-Passionate about working in SEN.
-Be able to provide a valid DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
-Be able to provide 2 references from most recent employers.
