We are working in partnership with a secondary school based in Islington who are looking to recruit an ambitious and driven Teacher of Religious Education to join their strong department as soon as possible.  You will be part of a large, enthusiastic team of RE specialists who are committed to providing a challenging and knowledge rich curriculum focusing on the diversity of perspectives reflected in the local community. The fact that all students in years 7-11 study RE as part of the core curriculum is testament to the value that the academy places on the subject. RE is highly respected for its central role in developing skills and attributes that will underpin students' development throughout their life.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject
  • Experience of teaching GCSE RE
  • A comprehensive understanding of the research and cognitive science behind what makes effective teaching
  • The desire to forge strong relationships with colleagues and willingness to collaborate for the benefit of all students and staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
